The Laurels of Bon Air employs a team of highly qualified medical professionals, including a Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Restorative Care Nurses, a Wound Care Nurse, state tested Certified Nursing Assistants, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and a Speech Therapist. Our on-site Rehab, Dietary, Social Work, and Activities departments provide personalized and compassionate care to each guest. Ryan is proud to be a leader of the team at The Laurels of Bon Air since 2013. He grew up in the Midlothian area and graduated from Clover Hill High School. He is an alumni of the University of South Florida (Tampa, FL) where he graduated from the College of Business Administration. He began his career in the Lasik eye surgery field in sales and marketing in St. Petersburg, FL and then grew into home healthcare sales thereafter. As he spent a great deal of time in skilled nursing facilities as a home healthcare sales representative, Ryan grew interested in the nursing facility field and its many management responsibilities. He completed an apprenticeship in long-term care administration in the Roanoke, VA area in 2005. Ryan enjoys seeing the guests of The Laurels of Bon Air flourish and also seeing the staff grow in their careers. His wife Jennifer is also in healthcare administration and enjoys her career as an Assisted Living Facility administrator. Ryan and Jennifer are fans of Virginia Tech football and enjoy attending games whenever possible. They are animal lovers and enjoy spending time with their 4 cats and bird, along with family and friends.
Director of Nursing
Janet grew up in the small Town of Haysi, located in Dickenson County Virginia and has been living in the Midlothian area since 2002. She graduated from Haysi High School and received her RN in 2000 from Piedmont Virginia Community College located in Charlottesville Virginia. Janet’s Nursing background has been in Orthopedics, Acute Rehab, and Geriatrics and she has been a Director of Nursing in a SNF for the last 10 years. In her spare time Janet enjoys outdoor activities such as Skiing, Fishing, Camping, Hiking, and Horseback riding. She also enjoys spending time with her husband Paul and 5 children as well as other extended family.
Rehabilitation Services Director
Brenda graduated from John Tyler in 1997 with Associate in Applied Science for Physical Therapist Assistant. She has worked in Skilled Nursing Facilities for over 20 years. Brenda has been at The Laurels of Bon Air since before it opened in 2007 and has made her home in Powhatan, VA. Brenda loves her job and enjoys gardening and spending time with grandchildren in her free time.
Director of Marketing
Catherine joined The Laurels of Bon Air in 2019 as director of marketing. She has over five years of experience in the skilled nursing industry, including past roles as an admissions coordinator and hospital liason. Catherine is a graduate of James Madison University and lives in Midlothian with her two daughters.
